Overview

Landela builds modern digital products and services across Africa. This internship is for engineers based in Nairobi who want hands-on exposure to production code, integrations, and delivery in a remote-first team. You will work alongside senior engineers on real client and internal work—not toy projects—with mentorship and structured office days when they add value.

What you will do

Contribute to features, fixes, and tests in active codebases
Learn how we plan, review, ship, and operate software responsibly
Pair and async-review with engineers across Kenya and Germany
Build habits around clarity, maintainability, and calm execution

Who should apply

You are in or near Nairobi and can participate in occasional in-person sessions
You have foundational programming skills and want to grow in product engineering
You communicate clearly in writing and are comfortable with remote collaboration
You want a six-month runway with mentorship—not a short shadowing stint
