Overview
Landela builds modern digital products and services across Africa. This internship is for engineers based in Nairobi who want hands-on exposure to production code, integrations, and delivery in a remote-first team. You will work alongside senior engineers on real client and internal work—not toy projects—with mentorship and structured office days when they add value.
What you will do
- Contribute to features, fixes, and tests in active codebases
- Learn how we plan, review, ship, and operate software responsibly
- Pair and async-review with engineers across Kenya and Germany
- Build habits around clarity, maintainability, and calm execution
Who should apply
- You are in or near Nairobi and can participate in occasional in-person sessions
- You have foundational programming skills and want to grow in product engineering
- You communicate clearly in writing and are comfortable with remote collaboration
- You want a six-month runway with mentorship—not a short shadowing stint
